Works.

It's not magic, it's micro-physics. Our screens act like digital paper, using real ink particles to form images.

Microcapsules

Millions of tiny capsules contain positively charged white particles and negatively charged black particles suspended in clear fluid.

Electrophoresis

When an electric field is applied, the particles move to the top or bottom of the capsule, making the surface appear white, black, or colored.

Bistable State

Once the particles are in place, they stay there without power. Electricity is only needed to move them again.
